Now, the Dothan campus has a timeless memorial to the salty staple.Troy University’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society is Phi Kappa Phi. The newest members, including Host PJ Heath, were recognized at the Spring 2023 honors convocation.

Troy University is resurrecting The Special Olympics Alabama State Games on the Troy and Montgomery campuses. This is the first time the games are being held since the start of the pandemic. Host Emily Mosier reports.And, Director of Broadcast and Digital Network Buddy Johnson is saying farewell to broadcasting and hello to retirement, as he celebrates 15 years of working at Troy University. He even has some words of wisdom for producer PJ Heath.

Marissa is turning over the hosting duties to Producer Jaelanne Thomas, who has this report.And, Troy University’s International Arts Center is hosting the new exhibit "Afterglow," featuring works that combine photography and painting.

Over two days, TROY students learned about Motion Design and attended a career fair highlighting journalism and graphic design opportunities through the inaugural Jerry Johnson Art & Design Symposium.And, sitting across from the Rosa Parks Museum, Montgomery's Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts was known as the Paramount Theatre, when it opened in 1930. Producer Hans Ng reports that with a new name and owner, the theatre has a new role in the community.

TROY Public Radio's Kyle Gassiott shared practical reporting advice with TROY students at a recent lunch and learn event on the main campus.And, at the center of the quad sits one of Troy University’s most recognizable landmarks. The Trojan Fountain, depicting a warrior watching over the campus, serves as both an inspiration and background for selfies as producer Lyric Davis learned.

President Joe Biden spoke last weekend on the anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama. And TROY journalism students were there to cover his remarks as he spoke about peaceful civil rights activists who were beaten by state troopers while marching for the right to vote. Host Marissa Lacey reports.And, in celebration of International Women’s Day, Troy University is bringing awareness to women’s issues in the arts. The Alabama Humanity Alliance sponsored two events at TROY, as Producer Emily Mosier reports.
