The Rosa Parks Museum on TROY’s Montgomery campus is featuring a new exhibit, "Watchfires". And as Producer Garrett Sanders reports, it includes paintings and found objects commenting on social justice issues that are still relevant today.And, Producer Jaelanne Thomas reports TROY Archaeology Professor Stephen Carmody's team uncovered many interesting things in a harbor town in Northern Tuscany.

Troy Public Radio is launching a new podcast! “Speaking Globally” features conversations with experts from different regions of the world.And, a sculpture of Rosa Parks has been unveiled in front of the museum that bears her name in Montgomery.

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has signed a proclamation commending TROY for leadership in international education. Producer Cody Skelton reports that the international program at Troy works hard to make students feel at home.And as Host Marissa Lacey reports, Troy University Alumnus Terrence Adams has risen to the rank of Air Force Brigadier General after 27 years of service.

This week, as Producer Conner Howell reports, Dothan, Alabama's Police Department just got its first female police captain... and she's a TROY graduate!And, as Host Marissa Lacey tells us, at an entrance to the main campus, visitors now see a big, bold power T painted on a busy intersection right next door to Veterans Memorial Stadium.

This week, we'll listen to one of our favorite stories from Producer Hans Ng, highlighting the rich history of Troy University Montgomery's Davis Theatre.And, on November 7th, Troy University’s vocal group Concert Chorale is performing “Gloria” to celebrate themes associated with the holiday season, and Producer Conner Howell has the story.

This week, Troy University’s Department of Theatre and Dance is staging a production of "Medea: A Greek Tragedy". As Host Marissa Lacey tells us, the classic story stars a mother who seeks revenge on her unfaithful husband.And, just in time for Halloween, TROY Public Radio is airing a marathon of scary stories from Snap Judgment’s "Spooked" Podcast. "Spooked" Host Glynn Washington always warns listeners: “Never ever, ever, ever, never ever, ever turn out the lights.” But, as Cody Skelton reports, it’s an annual tradition for members of the TPR staff to listen to “Spooked” together... in the dark.

The Talk of TROY - ”HSJC‘s 50th Anniversary & ”Reimaging the Everyday” - October 15th, 2021

As Guest Host Cody Skelton reports, Troy University's Hall School of Journalism and Communication is celebrating half a century of training journalists. To commemorate the occasion, the Hall School of Journalism unveiled its new slogan, “Shaping Ethical and Trustworthy Communicators”.And, “Reimagining the Everyday” is the newest exhibit in TROY’s International Arts Center on the main campus. The artist, Janet Nolan, died in 2019, and as Producer Conner Howell reports, the message of her work lives on in this exhibit.

The Talk of TROY - ”Assistant Dean Todd‘s Syrup Farm & Sites of Conscience” - October 8th, 2021

As Cody Skelton Reports, Assistant Dean of the Sorrell College of Business Dewey Todd is the newest recipient of the Alabama Retail Association bronze medal for Retailer of the Year for businesses with annual sales of $1 million and under.And, TROY’s Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery is hosting the latest installment in the Real Talk Community Forum series next week, and as Producer Conner Howell reports, the topic will be “Sites of Conscience.”

The Talk of TROY - ”KICK COVID & Memorial” - October 1st, 2021

To help keep football fans safe, Troy University is partnering with the Alabama Department of Public Health and The Bruno Event Team for KICK COVID, a testing and vaccination campaign.And, TROY Associate Professor of Theatre Quinton Cockrell has written a new play titled Memorial, which has recently been featured in the Human Rights New Works festival.
